Faith and Fear: How to Walk in Wisdom
Without Living in Worry
Fear can either paralyze us or prompt us to prepare. As families and believers, we are called to walk in wisdom while trusting God’s sovereignty.
Many parents express concerns about sending their kids to school, going for evening walks, or attending large gatherings in today’s environment. These feelings are understandable, but they do not have to lead to fear-based living.
### Actionable Steps:
- **Assess your habits:** Do you walk with your head up and aware, or are you distracted by your phone?
- **Establish family plans:** Discuss scenarios with your spouse or kids in age-appropriate ways.
- **Pray for discernment:** God promises to give wisdom to those who ask.
### Faith Reflection:
Psalm 56:3 says, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Our preparation is not in opposition to faith; it is an act of stewardship.
### Call to Action:
Reflect on the areas where fear impacts your decisions. Is it your child’s safety at school, your church’s security, or your habits? Identify one step you can take this week to replace fear with wise action.
Remember: “During times of stress, we do not perform up to our expectations, but down to our training.”
